William Cole

FROSTBURG- William Elwood “Shorty” Cole, 82 , of Frostburg passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at home. Born on September 14, 1934 in Frostburg, he was the son of Ernest E. Cole and Deanna (Williams) Cole. He is preceded in death by brothers, Jack Cole, Fred Cole, Jim Cole, Leroy Cole, and Ernest Cole and sister, Betty Green. Shorty worked as a millwright at the Luke Paper Mill. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne. He was a Jehovah’s Witness. Surviving are sisters, Deanna Ross, Frostburg; Genevieve Dorsey, Rochester, NY; and Ellie Joshua, St. Thomas Virgin Islands. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Jackson officiating.
