Stephen Baker, Sr.

Mount Savage- Stephen A. Baker, Sr. 73, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Devlin Manor.

Born In Cumberland on December 16, 1950 he was the son of the late John Patrick and Margaret (Spurno) Baker.

Stephen was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Mount Savage. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a truck driver and a salesman.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Ann Baker, sons Stephen, Jr. and fiancée Deborah, Patrick and wife Ronda, David and fiancée Katie, and Brock; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 11 to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Father Scott Kady officiating.

Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.

Pallbearers will be Brady, Mason, Kelian, Bruce, Eric, and JR.
