Paul Murphy, Jr.

FROSTBURG- Paul James Murphy, Jr. 83, of Frostburg , went home to be with the Lord after a prolong illness on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born September 10, 1933 in Johnstown, Pa, he was the son of the late Paul J. Sr. and Mary (Long) Murphy. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy (McGregor) Murphy, and his children, Dwight Murphy and wife Luann, Pamela Croft and husband Robert, Michael Murphy, and Donald Murphy all of Frostburg; and Russell Murphy and wife Sharon of Waynesboro, Pa. Also, surviving are 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, brothers, Jay Murphy and wife Barbara of Florida; and David Murphy and wife Judy of New Hampshire. Paul was a retired draftsman from Kelly Springfield and a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Hattenfield officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
