Nancy Murphy

Nancy Murphy, 88, of Frostburg, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 4, 2022. Born June 21,1934, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of Hartley and Sarah (Lamison) McGregor.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Paul J. Murphy Jr. of 63 years; brother Stanley (Jake) McGregor, sister Jill McGregor, Bob Croft, son-on-law, and granddaughter Melissa Dawn (Ashenfelter) Murray. She is survived by her children, Dwight Murphy and wife LuAnn, Pamela Croft, Michael Murphy, Donald Murphy, all of Frostburg, MD, and Russell Murphy and wife Sharon of Waynesboro, PA. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and served as director of the nursery department. She also attended Eckhart Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with her family. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m

. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Hattenfield and Pastor Matthew Eichhorn officiating.

Internment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
