FROSTBURG- Mary Jo Folk, 79, of Frostburg passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born October 9, 1939 in Frostburg she was the daughter of the late James Rankin and Mabel (Gordon) Rankin. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Freddie Rankin and John Rankin, and sisters, Betty Albright, Evelyn “Polly” Moran, and Cecelia Rankin.
Mary Jo was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years William R. “Red” Folk, sons, Richard Folk and wife Paula of Frostburg; David Folk and girlfriend Lee Ann McAlpine of Frostburg; and Joseph Folk of Frostburg; and a daughter Joyce Cutter and husband Larry “Bud” , grandchildren, Amber Hoffman, Jamie Hansrote, Mandi Raley and husband Ryan, Bryon Folk and wife Kayleigh, Joseph Folk, Jr. and fiancée Samantha King, Niki Folk and boyfriend, Todd Logsdon, and Ashley Cutter. Also, great- grandchildren, Olivia, Nolan, Preston, and Brennan Raley; a brother, Robert Rankin and wife Nancy of Frostburg; and a sister, Ida Fairgrieve of Massachusetts. Also, family friends Scott and Carol Hanekamp.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
