Martha "Marty" Carrington

FROSTBURG- Martha "Marty" E. Carrington, 92, of Frostburg passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center. Born November 10, 1923 in Thurmont, MD she was the daughter of the late Hugh Eby and Nina (Harbaugh) Eby. She is preceded in deah by her husband Francis "Jake" Carrington, one sister and three brothers. Marty was a 1944 graduate of Frostburg State Teachers College and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church She is survived by daughters, Christina Carrington Henaghan and husband William of Frostburg; Rebecca Carrington of Frostburg,; and Maria Carrington Connor and husband Brian of Frostburg; grandchildren William Henaghan, Bernard Joseph Henaghan, Christina Maria Troutman, and Perry Francis Connor; great grandchildren, Jordan Carrington Troutman and Mikayla Rase Troutman. Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Eric Gauchat, OFM Cap. as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Michael 's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Henaghan, William Henaghan, Bernard Henaghan, Brian Connor, Perry Connor, and Michael Weddle. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Barry. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center. Memorial donations can be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
