Margaret Ware

MARTINSBURG- Margaret Naomi (Long) Ware, 88, formerly of Frostburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at her home in Martinsburg. Born December 30, 1927 in Frostburg she was the daughter of the late George Carpenter Long and Oleta Clarissa (O’Baker) Long. She is preceded in death by her husband John D. “Jack” Ware who died in 2006 and her daughter Jacquelyn Kay Brafford. Margaret was a homemaker and had worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company in her earlier years. She was a Past Matron of Mountain Chapter 15 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by two daughters , Margaret L. Wilson , Oldtown ; Karla L. Yost and husband Michael, Falling Waters, WV; five grandchildren, Jessica Blackburn and husband Allen, Jared Brafford and wife Kasten, Curtis K. Bonner, Jr., Samantha J. Jones and husband William, and Jonathan R. Yost and wife Bobie. Also, surviving great-grandchildren, Tyler, Blake and Sophia Blackburn, and Wyatt Yost, sisters, Alma June Harris, Eckhart; Florence Negley, Frostburg; and son in law Steven Brafford, Fredericksburg, VA. Memorial service will be conducted at the Sowers Funeral Home on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Karen Crosby officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service at 12 noon. Mountain Chapter 15 Order of the Eastern Star will hold a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
