James Winfield Scott

James Winfield Scott, also known as Jimeaux or Jim, 81, was a resident of Keyser, West Virginia and passed away on October 10, 2024, at home in Frostburg, Maryland of natural causes.

Born August 24, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Richard Scott and Matilda Hennrietta Eleanor Miller.

Jimeaux is survived by his loving wife Kelly Martin and step-daughter Madeline Martin; children: Jeff Scott (Mary Cannone), Nora Scott (Peter Rosendorff) and their mother Helen Lawless Scott Solsten; grandchildren: Tyler Scott-Simpson, William Scott-Simpson, Errol Scott and Ezra Scott-Simpson; and granddogs Piper, Leo and Murphy. 

Jimeaux was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He obtained a Masters of Writing from Johns Hopkins University in 1967. He worked in television winning two Emmy Awards for news production. He was a stay at home dad to his kids and instilled in them an appreciation of the outdoors, nature, and painting. 

He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. 

A memorial service is to be determined in Spring 2025.
