James Anthony (Tony) Himmler, 51, of Frostburg died on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Suzanne Himmler, his brother, Brian Himmler, Godmother and Aunt, Mary Paletta, and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Vienna Paletta, Charles and Dolly Himmler, uncles, Joseph Paletta, James and Patrick Himmler; aunts, Anna Mae Randolf, Jane Mitchell, and Francis Himmler. He was befriended by Brandi Willison and Jason Bauman who were there for him especially in times of emergency care.
Tony lived an adventurous life surrounded by many close friends; he never met a stranger. His passion was riding many motorcycles and biking on the Gap Trail.
Tony was employed by several Trucking Agencies in Hagerstown. Upon his return to Frostburg, he worked in home improvement until his health issues overtook him in his inability to work.
Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Father Eric Gauchat, OFM Cap. as celebrant and with Father Ed Hendricks assisting.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
The Pallbearers will be Tony’s best buddies. Brian Himmler, Donnie Petenbrink, Jake Spataro, Danny Dixon, Eric Baker, and Jason Bauman.
Afterwards, a bereavement luncheon will be served at St. Joseph's in Midland.
