Jacquelyn Brafford

MINERAL, VA- Jacquelyn Kay (Ware) Brafford, 62, of Mineral, formerly of Frostburg, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Retreat Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born in Frostburg on June 14,1953, she was the daughter of Margaret (Long) Ware and the late John David Ware. Jacquelyn was a Registered Nurse and worked as a Medical Review Specialist at AdvancedMed in Richmond, VA. She is survived by her mother Margaret (Long) Ware, her husband Steven N. Brafford of Mineral, her son, Jared Evan Brafford and wife Kasten of Virginia Beach; her daughter Jessica Lee Blackburn and husband Allen of Virginia Beach, her grandchildren, Tyler, Blake, and Sophia Blackburn. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret Wilson of Oldtown, and Karla Yost and husband, Michael of Falling Waters, WV; nephew, Curtis Bonner, son of Margaret Wilson, niece and nephew, Samantha Yost and Jonathan Yost, children of Karla Yost. Family and friends will be received at Sowers Funeral Home on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 12 - 2 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. with Rev. Karen A. Crosby officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to the American Liver Foundation.
