FROSTBURG- Harold “Sonny” Walter Crawford,70, of Frostburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the Devlin Manor. Born May 11, 1948 in Cumberland, MD, Mr. Crawford was the son of the late Margaret Isabell (Frame) Drummond and the step-son of the late James Earl Drummond. He was predeceased by a brother, Mark Thomas Drummond. Harold was a house painter by trade, and a self-taught musician. He loved to play the guitar and sing for friends and family. After hearing him perform around the campfire at his friends’ farm., a music producer approached him and offered to record his music. As a result, a CD entitled “Simply Sonny” was made. While Harold was an excellent painter, many friends and family often stated that he should have pursued a career in music. While his declining health prevented him from playing the Guitar in recent years, he never lost that beautiful singing voice. Harold, “Sonny” is survived by his daughter, Morgan Lynn Crawford, Pearl River, LA; a grandson Easton Randall Marshall, Pearl River, LA; sisters Linda Alford, Delaware, Patricia Smith and husband Dennis Dorsey, Frostburg, MD, and special friends John Kohler, George Davis, Max and Katherine Dubansky, James Braskey, and Jennifer Ours. At Mr. Crawford’s request, his remains will be cremated and a visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Sowers Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
