Earl J. Riggleman

 Earl J. Riggleman,85, of Frostburg, passed away, February 24, 2023. Born June 28, 1937, in Williamsport, WV, he was the son of the late James B. and Amanda (Moyers) Riggleman. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by a son, Gregory S. Riggleman, brothers Charles, Luther, Glenn, and Raymond; sisters Ann Bosley, Bertha Kuykendall, and Verda Davy.

 Earl is survived by his wife, Leslie J. Riggleman, four daughters and a son, step-sons, Gerald “Gerry Lee” Lewis and Michael Lewis. Nine grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews, good friends Royce and Wanda Douty and fur babies Molly and Skittles.  Also, a brother.

 Earl worked for Moran Coal Company, Giuseppe’s Restaurant as an overnight cleaner, and Frostburg State University Residence Life Office. Earl was a country boy at heart, never forgetting his roots, and his old home place. In his earlier years, he played basketball, football, and softball. He also enjoyed hunting, and CB radios. His CB handle was “Gator.” He was a “jack of all trades.” If something didn’t work, he could rig is so it would. He enjoyed planting a garden every spring. He was especially proud of his tomatoes.

Earl was a great man, and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. “Until we meet again.”

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy Jeffries officiating.
