Charles Ritchey

FROSTBURG-Charles “Woody” Edward Ritchey ,68, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Frostburg on May 27, 1953, he was the son of the late Charles Eugene and Catherine (Preston) Ritchey. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Ritchey.

Charles was retired from the military serving in the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sergeant. He enjoyed driving his truck and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charles is survived by his wife Karen Ritchey, daughters, Heather Logan and husband Todd, and Tiffani Ortiz and husband Zeus, sons, Shaun Ritchey, Todd Ritchey, and Mathew Ritchey and wife, Brittney; grandchildren Haley and husband, Lenny, Hannah, Lanndyn, Kaleb, Haven, Lyrix, Hadley, and Lawson; great-grandchildren, Solomon, Charlie, and Hazel; sister, Robyn Ritchey and brothers, Dennis Ritchey, Mark Ritchey and wife Karen. Also, Debbie Miller, who was like a sister.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 with Pastor David McCall officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

American Legion Farrady Post #24 will accord military honors at the graveside.
