MT. SAVAGE- Cecil Richard “Rick” Butler, 64, of Mt. Savage passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Lions Manor Nursing Home.
Born May 13, 1953 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Orvale Ray Butler and Mary Elizabeth (Walsh) Butler. He is preceded in death by a brother Ray Butler.
Rick has worked at Mt. Savage Fire and Brick Company for 38 years. He was a member of Kennell’s Mills, Big Savage, and the Piney Mountain Sportsmen’s Clubs.
He is survived by his wife Mildred (Boore) Butler, daughters, Ginger Herold and husband Hugo of Sinking Springs, PA; Amanda Robinson and husband John of Point of Rocks, MD; Jennifer Butler and significant other Tyler Smouse of Frostburg; grandchildren, Hugo Herold, Jr., Alex Herold, Chance Warnick, Kacey Warnick, Joel Robinson, and Jadon Robinson. Also surviving, brothers Bob Butler and wife Charlene, Tony Butler and girlfriend Teresa Farris, Allen Butler and wife Teresa, John Butler, and Buddy Butler and wife Ann.
Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11 a.m.
with Rev. David Sandvick officiating.
Interment will be in Emmanuel United Methodist Cemetery.
