As many know, Betty’s heart overflowed with joy when taking care of the home and life she and Mac created in “National” where she immensely enjoyed caring for her gardens of flowers and vegetables, crocheting, and her cherished scrapbooks. Betty was a wonderful baker and she very much enjoyed serving those treats during the frequent visits and gatherings of her back porch guests made up of family and friends.
The Andrews Family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to our extended family of Goodwill Retirement Community for their loving care of our precious Ms. Betty. We needed to know in our hearts that Ms. Betty would be cared for with grace and dignity in a beautiful environment surrounded by the same care and compassion we had always given to her. From the moment we crested the knoll, looked down in the valley and viewed the community, we knew we had found our new home. There will never be enough words to thank you for the love each of you always gave to our most favorite lady. Her lovely smile will always be missed but shall always be remembered with happiness. As she penned in her journal- “I have so much to be thankful for, my health, a wonderful husband, my family, friends and neighbors. I am a happy person. I do not sit and fret as I accept life for what it is and my life has been complete with many happy memories and always love”.
Friends and family will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, 60 West Main Street, Frostburg, Maryland on Sunday from 1-3 p.m.
