Anna Lynch

FROSTBURG- Anna Catherine (Drees) Lynch,90, was born March 9, 1926 in Greenville, PA to Anthony Drees and Dessie Rosenberger Drees. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the WMHS Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center. Anna was preceded in death by her husband P. Joseph Lynch; sisters, Margaret Baer and husband Dale, Mary Jane Burdock and husband Bob; brothers, Stanley Drees and wife Nellie and their son Gary, Pete Drees and wife Shirley, and Jimmy Drees. She is survived by her daughter Debbie A. Costello of Frostburg and friend Ronald Arbogast; grandsons, Nicholas J. Costello and wife Whitney; Matthew P. Costello and wife Christina all of Frostburg and former son in law, Leo F. Costello. Also surviving is sister, Shirley Winner and husband Leonard of Frostburg; brother Larry Drees of Finzel; brother in law John Lynch and wife Juanita, Boonton, NJ; and a number of nieces and nephews. Anna graduated from Grantsville High School in 1944. In her early years, she was employed at the Celanese, Acme Market and Princess Restaurant. She was a long time member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Frostburg. She was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother. She was a kind and gentle soul who will be held close in the hearts of those who loved her. The family would like to give special thanks to the Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center for the dedicated and compassionate care provided to Anna over the past few years. Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 12:00 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Ed Hendricks as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
